Nymirum – De-Install

De-Energize Varian Magnex 600 Magnet

De-Energized magnet using three supplies set as follows:

  • Supply 1 – Main
  • Supply 2 – RPS / Z0
  • Supply 3 – Z2

Supply 1 and 2 applied thru the 10-way connector on the neck tube.

Supply 3 applied thru the shim stick.

Main heater would not open when it was in parallel with RPS, so moved the RPS to the supply with Z0.  All shim currents set to about 120 mA.  Also dumped each radial shim that was above 5A before I started.
